Where is Porto Heli?

Porto Heli is situated on a beautiful, natural harbour in the prefecture of Argolis, located in the Peloponnese, the southern region of mainland Greece. Porto Heli is about 190km from Athens by road, 55 Nautical miles from Pireaus Port or, if you prefer, the Latitude and Longitude at the centre of the Porto Heli bay are: N 37° 19.18, E 23° 09.03.

You may have noticed that, yet again, I’ve changed the design of the site and I’m still troubleshooting so if things aren’t where you expect or don’t work as they should please let me know.  Also, a huge THANK YOU for your support, www.portoheli.net (THE Porto Heli website) is now over 10 years old! Both the village and the website have changed over that period of time and after 20+ years here I’m still finding new places and new faces! THE Porto Heli website is my attempt to impart the flavour of Porto Heli and let you have all the information you need so that you have a really good holiday here.

Yes, most of my photos are watermarked because, despite the fact that I regularly give for free images or text to people who ask (and usually without linkage requirements), I am fed up of people who think that everything on the internet is there for the taking.  It’s not.  The entire contents of this site are copyright of Izzy so, if you would like an unwatermarked image or piece of text, please just ask me!
